Hi, I'm Jason Lee and I'm a software engineer based in Las Vegas with experience in using React, JavaScript, Knex, SQL, Postgres, CSS, and HTML to develop, test, debug, and enhance web applications. A quick learner dedicated to writing the cleanest, most efficient code while working obsessively to exceed employer's and client's expectations.


Have completed projects from The Odin Project on top of graduating from Chegg Skills' software engineering program.

  • Built a fully interactive app with React.js that allows users to create, edit, and delete decks and cards within them.
  • Used React hooks to allow user(s) to create, read, update, and delete their deck of study cards.
  • Strategically implemented routes and URLs, and used state over multiple components.

Decoder Ring Application

Role: Software Engineer Student

Company: Chegg Skills Software Engineering Program

  • Designed an encryption/decryption program using JavaScript to support Caesar, Polybius, and Substitution ciphers.
  • Incorporated math algorithms and user-friendly functionalities to maintain message formatting.
  • Wrote extra code for the Polybius cipher that maintains the spaces used in each message and instructs users to use letters or numbers based on the mode of the cipher.

  • Utilized state management across components and maintained version control with detailed commits.

  • Developed a JavaScript program to analyze library data, including popular authors, genres, and book availability.
  • Engineered efficient search and sorting algorithms for data retrieval and display.
  • Wrote code (commented out) that searches the entire database to find the correct answer instead of 1 single object used in the Chai tests.
